Hello colin and thanks for filing this bug report. The error message shows a syntax error in a dovecot configuration file:
doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/ conf.d/ 10-master. conf line 71: Unexpected '}'
This doesn't seem related to the upgrade. If you modified the file while dovecot was running and didn't restart it, then the daemon could have been running fine until the restart triggered by the upgrade.
Could you please check /etc/dovecot/ conf.d/ 10-master. conf for syntax errors? If you do not agree with my analysis above, could you please share the file (attach it to this bug report), so we can try to reproduce the problem locally?
Waiting for your reply I'm setting the status of this report to Incomplete. Please change it back to New after commenting back and we'll look at it again. Thanks!
