Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

It looks like this problem is happening because of some problem during the installation of tftpd and/or tftpd-hpa. I can see in your DpkgHistoryLog.txt file that you installed tftpd-hpa, then installed tftpd (which conflicts with tftpd-hpa), then reinstalled tftpd-hpa (which conflicts with tftpd). There is likely some leftover files from one of these packages with is interfering with the other, and that is causing the tftpd-hpa installation to fail.

My advice is for you to "apt purge tftpd-hpa tftpd", and then remove any configuration file(s) that belong to these packages and may be left installed. Then, if you try to "apt install tftpd-hpa", things should work normally.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem,
rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as 'Incomplete'.

However, if you believe that this is really a bug in Ubuntu, then we would
be grateful if you would provide a more complete description of the problem
with steps to reproduce, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu
rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug
status back to "New".

For local configuration issues, you can find assistance here:
