Icons disappear from Plank after updates.

I've only experienced this with apps updated via snapd. Every time a new version of IntelliJ IDEA is released, the icon disappears from my Dock. Apps installed via apt or flatpak have been unaffected so far.

What's suspected is that when applications are upgraded, the shortcut is removed and added again in a way that Plank only thinks that a removal has occurred. The best known workaround is to create a copy of the launchers, or to re-add the affected applications to the dock after update.

Is the above commit in the version? I still experience this bug and it's a pain in the ass. Ubuntu 18.04.

I see this commit mentioned above "Increase delay for auto-removal of broken/unavailable applications to 1 min" is included in the latest release (0.11.89).

I still notice this annoying behaviour in Xubuntu LTS 20.04 with package 0.11.89.
Happens when an upgrade happens via snapd or apt.

This is still an issue with updated snaps occurring on Ubuntu MATE 20.04 and 20.10 running plank 11.89-1.

How do you download this patch on ubuntu budgie 21.10 I'm having the same exact issue.
