Ubuntu MATE Welcome
PPA description
This PPA was formally used for the "Subscribe for Updates" feature. This is redundant as Welcome/Software Boutique are distributed and kept up-to-date via snaps by default.
Snaps are the default for new Ubuntu MATE installations:
snap install --classic ubuntu-mate-welcome
snap install --classic software-boutique
This PPA remains as an alternate choice if you are using an Ubuntu or Debian distribution without snapd installed.
There is not a separate package for Software Boutique at this time as it is currently part of the Welcome application.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:ubuntu-mate-dev/welcome to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mate-dev/welcome
sudo apt update
