Bug Description
1. Availability - already packaged & builds in Ubuntu universe & Debian testing
2. Rationale - libnatpmp is a lightweight library implementing Bonjour/Avahi Zeroconf connectivity. This library and miniupnpc have been embedded into many network apps to improve connectivity for devices behind a NAT router. Now that these libraries are packaged in Debian, we want to build using the system libraries for security & other reasons. One of these apps is Transmission which is shipped on the main CD.
In fact, an older version of libnatpmp is still in the Transmission source code so this has basically already been in main for some time: https:/
3. Security - There are no known security bugs: http://
4. QA -

5. UI - N/A
6. Dependencies: https:/
Suggests minissdpd, MIR filed as bug 813313.
7. Standards compliant 3.9.2
8. Maintenance - We are currently in sync with Debian

From a MIR perspective, this is approved. It could use a bug subscriber. I've uploaded a version that adds a symbols file (and forwarded the patch to debian).
Note to archive admins: you may want to consider http:// bugs.debian. org/cgi- bin/bugreport. cgi?bug= 633643 on whether you promote this. I'm not sure if that's severe enough to be a blocker until the new version is packaged.
