Bug Description

Encountered while freezing bzr-2.4b5 on pqm itself

I also got a:

  failed to open trace file: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/you-should-use-TestCaseInTempDir-if-you-need-a-log-file'

line in the pqm *mail*, i.e. not part of stdout nor stderr

A quick look at the test reveals nothing suspicious, it's a blackbox test and as such inherits from TestCaseWithTransport so I see no apparent reason why the above message could be triggered....

Marking high as random failures on pqm are a real pita.

Also, I was able to reproduce locally on natty with python2.5 *once* and vaguely remember some spurious failures on babune but with a very low frequency :-/

Hmm, come to think of it, the test expect the pack file to be at least 750 long and could fail if the file is valid but shorter ?

I just hit this with PQM trying to land on lp:bzr/2.4 so needs fixing there too.
