Bug Description

I'm running Plank on Fedora 15 alpha.

When I move the mouse over an application icon in Plank, I see a tooltip showing the application's name. That's great. But when I then move the mouse left or right so it's over a different application icon, the tooltip updates to show the new application name, but remains in position over the first application icon. This looks odd. The tooltip should move as I move the mouse to each successive icon.

I see. It might be an issue with Mutter then, because it works fine on Compiz and Metacity. We have code in place asking to move the window, so if it doesn't move... well I don't know what else to do!

Same here, under Gnome3 with mutter it does not move, using Pantheon with metacity it works properly.

Reverted that change.

This is a bug in Mutter, not our bug. Please file against Mutter.

The issue is that Mutter is not allowing windows of type POPUP to be moved.
