[MASTER] Firefox cannot spell Ubuntu

I'm not sure how Firefox handles its spell-checking, but note that aspell doesn't know about Ubuntu either.

At least OpenOffice gets it. :)

Perhaps a good idea to for a feature suggestion? To create a common technology/ubuntu/foss dictionary which can be merged with default firefox/oss/aspell dictionaries?

Although we should be carefull not to turn it into a political statement though.

Confirming with firefox 2.0+0dfsg-0ubuntu3

(-> Confirmed; Can't be In Progress if it's not assigned to anyone.)

Other apparent misspellings include Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu, and Shuttleworth.

Still here in Intrepid.

Now I think about it this might not be the type of thing that will happen until Ubuntu has unified dictionaries like Fedora ( http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/FeatureDictionary ).

updated to 3.0 however i am thinking this is more of a translation bug more so that firefox.

I do not know. I gave up on Ubuntu years ago.

I've just tested it (Firefox isn't my main browser anymore) .. "Ubuntu" is indeed working in Firefox. If somebody else can confirm this for them as well, we can just close this bug as "fixed"
