Bug Description

When running subiquity, after selecting the Polish (Polski) as the language, the next screen's keyboard configuration seems to be pointing at the English (Angielski (USA)) keyboard layout by default instead of the Polish one. From what I see all languages actually just use the English keyboard by default - this should be changed to use choose one based on locale (like per keyboard-configuration in console-setup).

"invalid" is a bit strong, more like "unlikely to be correct". Part of the fun here is that subiquity currently doesn't ask for a country at all, I guess we should, although I suppose that doesn't matter much for Polish...

I'm seeing this too in the new desktop installer, which uses subiquity under the covers. My default language is French, yet subiquity offers the US English keyboard layout by default.

Can the importance of this bug be raised?

Tagging rls because it is really a visible issue for non english users, it's also impacting the new desktop installer and we would like to see it considered as a target to fix for J
