Upload debdiff. Would you review it?

NOTE: By changing directory layout in upstream, debdiff is too big (nealy 150MB!). Upload gziped (37MB) it.

@cosmos-door, the apparmor configuration is shipped in apparmor package instead (2.10.95-4ubuntu2 in yakkety), so this can be dropped.

I'm curious why you don't want the translations to be stripped since mozc is in main and translations are handled by launchpad and language packs.

Thank you for your pointed out.

Ah, ok. I confirmed apparmor.d/mozc_server is not needed anymore.

> I'm curious why you don't want the translations to be stripped

It's my fault. I was misled into thinking that LP: #1591503 is needed on yakkety too.

And it seems that following two patch can be dropped.

* "Do not generate shlibs for fcitx"

  Nowaday debian's fcitx-mozc package doesn't generate shlibs.

* "Drop uim support for main inclusion"

Recently changing dependency policy, we can depend universe/uim for the main/mozc package.

Conclusion: I think that we can sync mozc package with debian/sid.

I think you misunderstand Ubuntu's universe policy. Packages can build-depend on universe packages as long as no binary package in main ends up depending on a universe package.

In some cases, a package in main can be split so that one or more of its binary packages are demoted to universe. You'll need to talk to one of ~ubuntu-archive to see if that's appropriate here.

Oh, sorry. You are right. Some uim related binary packages need to be demoted to universe.

OK. I will send mail to ubuntu-arvhive@l.u.c.

Concerning this update... ibus-mozc seems to have stopped displaying its suggestions window on upgrading to yakkety, which is a rather major fault.

Upgrading to a local build of this version restores it.

Ok, I synced this to zesty. Next we'll see if we can get some of its binary packages demoted to universe.

Max Bowsher or anyone affected, if the version of mozc in Ubuntu 16.10 "yakkety" does not work, please file a separate bug for that with specifics about what does not work and how it should work. Most Ubuntu developers do not use mozc themselves.

I'm going to go ahead and unsubscribe ubuntu-sponsors from this bug to get it off the sponsoring queue.
