Bug Description

Please sync mosquitto 1.4.3-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * Merging from debian, remaining changes:
    - add apparmor profile
  * Merging from debian, remaining changes:
    - add apparmor profile
  * Merge from Debian unstable. Remaining changes:
    - Install apparmor profile.
    - Replace init script with upstart script.
  * debian/patches/fix-972389.patch: Drop, as it was applied in Debian as
    bug-proto-number.patch.

Changelog entries since current wily version 1.3.4-2ubuntu1:

mosquitto (1.4.3-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
  * New binary package mosquitto-dev.
  * python3-mosquitto and python-mosquitto packages removed because the python
    module is no longer part of upstream.
  * Remove unused patches (pynomake.patch and disable-bad-test.patch)
  * Added dependency on libwebsockets3, uuid. Note that the source package
    will build (and actually prefers) using libwebsockets4 when it becomes
    available. This adds the patch enable-websockets.patch.
  * Upstream license has changed from BSD-3 to EPL-1.0 or EDL-1.0.
  * Fix log directory permissions.
  * Port to multiarch (closes: #763385) - adds libdir.patch
  * Symbols update
  * Patch refresh
  * Add build-timestamp.patch to create reproducable builds.
  * Add support for apparmor.

It would be nice for this to be sync'd to get rid of the differences between ubuntu and debian.

However this is a new upstream version and wily is in feature freeze.

Therefore this bug should additionally include the listed items for a new upstream version at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#FeatureFreeze_Exceptions

It seems the apparmor delta is applied in Debian so otherwise this is suitable. It can also wait for the next cycle to begin if it's not in a hurry.

since Roger is both Upstream, Debian and Ubuntu, I'll leave this for him :)

I'll see about getting the necessary things attached to the bug.

I'd just like to point out though that this package was uploaded to debian in advance of the import freeze but went into the NEW queue because of an additional binary package (mosquitto-dev) consisting of just a single C header file. The NEW queue took a while to get processed so it missed the import freeze by one day. It's a shame to have generated all of this extra work on account of a single header file.

Hi, release team member driving by.

I have had a look and this seems fine for feature freeze. ACK from me. No need to do paperwork.
