WebSocket SSL error on JuJu gui login page in Safari

Bug Description
When viewing the initial JuJu Gui login page, the login form never displays. The spinner stays forever and I get the following error in the console every second:
WebSocket network error: OSStatus Error -9807: Invalid certificate chain
I've included a screenshot for additional clarity.
Safari 8.0.4 in OSX 10.10.2
