Dear Masters Of The Universe,

Affected release: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty
Source Package: freemedforms-project (0.9.0-2)

As described on upstream issue manager [1] freemedforms-emr crashes
during network installation (during first run of freemedforms-emr,
select type of install: "Network (as server)").

This bug was fixed in version 0.9.4 which is available in Debian
Testing (aka Debian Jessie) and also in Debian Unstable (aka Debian
Sid).

I uploaded freemedforms-project 0.9.4 Debian source package to our
Launchpad ppa:freemedforms/ppa : the build process for Trusty worked
seamlessly and the application network installation works perfectly.

Quick fix would be to sync.

Thank you very much.

If you have a look at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freemedforms-project you can see which version is available in which release. It appears that 0.9.4 is in vivid already.

If you want to fix a bug in an older release, a sync from Debian might not be practical, but a dedicated (isolated) fix might be the better approach: http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates
