Bug Description

When you use the desktop switcher from the launcher, after switching desktops the Unity launcher no longer works. It still shows titles when hovered but clicks no longer work. Also causes top bar to not accept clicks. However, clicks on open applications still register.

EDIT: No this is a different bug I believe. The button 1 is not "stuck down" Open apps, for instance my keyring with keyboard continue to accept clicks but the unity launcher will not.

I followed the below steps with the same result. I have also replicated bug 1068994 and it's behavior is different. It doesnt allow clicks anywhere on the desktop. It may be tied to the same issue code-side but both have different behavior to the user

That's what I thought too.

Jay Lindsey, can you please see if this is still an issue if you:

1) do a clean reboot
2) use the workspace launcher and switch desktops
3) select an icon on the launcher

If (3) works after this sequence, then this bug is a known issue. Thanks.

Jay/Chris

Does this only affect when using touch? or both touch and mouse?

Jay/Chris , would you be able to attach any logs? Does ~/.xsession reveal any clues?

I'm marking this bug invalid, I have not seen any problems using the desktop switch in the later version of Quantal and into the New build of Raring. If this problem does exist we can reopen the bug, but for now I'm marking invalid at least for the Nexus7 project.
