As part of the ubiquity lvm/luks spec [1], automatic Full-Disk Encryption and LVM install options were implemented.

This is a FFe and UIFe for the Manual Partitioning LVM.

Physical volume for encryption is now an added option in the existing "Use as" menu.
When that option is selected, extra fields are added for encryption support.

you should leave at New if you want the FFe to be processed.

As mentioned on IRC, but to be complete on the bug, I have reservations about this. I think it would be adding more complexity and risk to the installer and QA (as it would have to be manually tested), that's not worth it at this stage of the cycle.

I won't nack though, in case somebody else thinks this is fine. I abstain.

This looks fine to me. Having reviewed the code branch, I think in some ways this is actually a reduction in complexity (by way of having fewer odd exceptions); and, without this, we have an important full-system regression from precise to quantal because there would be no way to install a desktop system with full-disk encryption unless you were prepared to use the whole disk for it.

How does this implement "Manual Partitioning LVM"? As far as I can see this only support logical partitions, not Logical Volumes in terms of LVM.
